Hi, I’m Emily!
I approach therapy from a person-centered foundation, starting with curiosity about what has and hasn’t worked for you in the past. From there, I tailor our work together to your needs, drawing most often from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Existential therapy, and Internal Family Systems (IFS). I work with clients navigating everything from relationship and family concerns to life transitions, identity exploration, and the everyday weight of simply being human. More specifically, I prefer working with teens, couples, and families, as I believe that our mental health exists in the systems and communities that shape us.
Together we’ll find a balance between practical coping tools and deeper exploration of the underlying patterns and experiences shaping your inner world. Therapy with me is meant to be a space where you can slow down and show up as you are—your thoughts, feelings, beliefs, and contradictions included—without judgment. My work is grounded in a culturally conscious lens, with attention to expressive and creative approaches, and an understanding of generational trauma and internalized systems of oppression.
